The spaces within the Villa preserve their original configuration, telling a story of layers, restoration, and conscious choices.
The restoration project, overseen by architect Paolo Arveda, involved both the Villa and the ancient stables, keeping the layout of the rooms intact and enhancing every existing element. The park, redesigned by English landscape architect Peter Holmes, is also an integral part of the experience.
Inside, every room holds details that deserve attention: objects, furnishings, and artworks that are not merely decorative elements, but fragments of a broader history.
Among these, a 19th-century Austrian safe symbolically holds books by great authors, serving as a reminder that true heritage is knowledge. Beside it, a rare 18th-century ceramic stove, still functional, bears witness to the local excellence in craftsmanship.
Alongside the main rooms, the Villa offers a variety of spaces designed to host different moments, from formal events to more informal experiences.
The Countess's Kitchen
A large room of approximately 80 square meters that preserves original elements such as the well with its pulley and the historic fireplace. A convivial space, capable of accommodating up to 40 people in a warm and authentic atmosphere.
The Ancient Stables
Recently restored, with ample space and dedicated services, they represent an ideal solution for private and corporate events, with the possibility of customizing every setup.
The Dependance
Converted from the ancient stables and immersed in the park, it offers an independent and welcoming environment, perfect for stays or moments of relaxation.
Outside, the 26,000-square-meter park surrounds the Villa in a dimension of peace and beauty, offering natural scenery that changes with the seasons and makes every experience unique.

The origins of the Villa date back to the 1700s, in a territory that then belonged to the Papal States and which witnessed some of the most significant phases of Italian and European history. From the Renaissance Ferrara of the Este family to the events linked to Napoleon and the birth of the Italian State, this location is part of an extraordinarily rich historical context. The surrounding area also holds even older traces: from Etruscan evidence of the city of Spina to Roman remains found in the nearby countryside.
The history of the Villa is deeply linked to that of the Massari family, key figures in the economic and political life of the region between the 18th and 19th centuries.
From the commercial and financial activities of Antonio Massari to the relations with Napoleon and the role in the institutional transformation of the territory, the family left a significant mark on local history.
